Background:

Boat builder/designer based in Fleetwood, Lancashire.  Parents: William Stoba and Agnes Richardson.  Born: 8 February 1854 Poulton Le Fylde.  Married to: Mary (maiden name unknown).  Died: 5 February 1931.  Address: 31 Livingstone Terrace, Blakiston street East, Fleetwood.  Offspring: Margaret Stoba, Jean Stoba and Mary Agnes Stoba (who married William Jones 27 September 1915).

William Stoba is known for building these vessels: Zarah, Zulu 1901, May Marie, Reliance 1903, Alpha 1904, Capella, Togo, Tessa, Mauna Loa 1907, Surprise 1908, Minoru 1909, Louie Rigby 1910, Kindly Light 1911. 

He worked for J.Gibson, Liver & Wilding and the Armour Brothers boatyards.
