As a researcher I have worked on projects of all types, some requiring only a day of my time, others lasting up to six months.  These jobs have varied immensely not only in the skills they involve, but in the places they have taken me and the kind of records I have unearthed.

Click below on any of the five options displayed for a brief view of some of the tasks I have undertaken, the experiences I have had and the results that were achieved:

A look at the ancestors.  Genealogical research using certificates, census, and parish records.

Nine months as researcher of exhibits for the National Maritime Museum.

Project to locate the wreck of HMS Roebuck abandoned on Ascension Island in 1701

Investigation for a model maker in Germany into the history of Cicely, later Lamorna, a Fife designed yacht.

Research into the background of Kindly Light, a Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter built 1911 in Fleetwood, to a William Stoba design.
